Social Ministry Committee
Our Social Ministry Committee coordinates many special projects
throughout the year. Past activities have included Christmas gifts, school
supplies and cold weather gear for needy children, Red Cross Blood Drive,
Walk-for-Hunger, and various functions associated with Lutheran Family and
Children's Services. These special projects are in addition to the
ongoing social ministry projects listed below.
Circle of Concern is an assistance center for low income, unemployed
families and individuals in the West St. Louis area. We support Circle of
Concern through our budget, as well as gifts and time.
Give-a-Meal-a-Week is a program where food goods are provided to needy
families. The food is placed in a box located in the KOK church narthex
and is then distributed to Grace Lutheran Church's food pantry. Grace
Lutheran Church's food pantry, Circle
of Concern, and Concordia Seminary
receive our donations.
